Studio to feature Mi'kmaq artisans and crafters

A spotlight on creative talent -> Qalipu Mi'kmaq First Nation

"Starting next month, the new Rotary Arts Centre in Corner Brook will partner with the band and host an emerging Mi'kmaq artist in studio space reserved for the Qalipu Artisans and Crafters Residency Program. "The program is there to support artisans and crafters, to help them inspire and support the artisans community network and give them an opportunity to promote and share their work in a creative environment," said Mitch Blanchard, the band's resource co-ordinator who's taking the lead on the project.
